Lindsey is no longer in business. The book is still highly recommended.

Congratulations, of all the old books on machining, you've stumbled across "the One".
The 1925 edition is still in print (Lindsay Publications reprint), with the new publisher's endorsement being: "this title comes nearer to “containing it all” that any other book we know!". They're charging a fair bit for it too. And here it is for free.
This particular version I'm reviewing is a high quality MSN digital reproduction, much better than the low quality Google versions also found on archive.org.
Look too for Smith's companion volume to this one, called "Elements of Machine Work", also an MSN digital reproduction, here at archive.org.
